The regional similarity map was developed using real data of active enterprises, categorized by industries (five-digit classifier based on NACE) and districts.

Each circle represents one of 222 districts in Kazakhstan.
The circle size represents an estimate of total employment in the district, calculated based on enterprise sizes (according to the Classifier of Enterprise Sizes).

The circle color indicates the macroregion to which the district belongs.

Lines between circles indicate the strongest similarities between districts, connecting those with shared industry specializations.
